Beaba Camping is an initiative by Beaba (be-a-bá) with Fundação Paiol Grande to take children and adolescents undergoing cancer treatment, and their companions, to learn about the disease and treatment outside of its original context, enabling reinterpretation and education with lots of fun.

Perguntas Frequentes

Why do you need these products?
The camp is a gift from the Paiol Grande Foundation: it includes 3 nights, 15 meals, lodging, a hospital and much more. However, participants need to bring bed linen, towels and personal hygiene items. Since many children come from far away to treat cancer in São Paulo, not all of them have these materials, especially those who are in support homes. And that’s where you come in: with your help, we guarantee everything they need to enjoy the Camping without worry!

So what does Beaba do at the camp?
He creates the entire operation: organizes transportation, adapts the space, trains the monitors, selects the health team, develops the activities, produces the materials, gamifies the content and also encourages self-care and autonomy. All this to inform and educate children, teenagers and their support networks about cancer and treatment, empowering and engaging everyone to ensure a better quality of life.

Why do the quotas vary?
We need some products for all participants, some just for the children and others for companions. And there are also those that are always good to have in reserve: what if someone wets the bed or takes an extra bath? Better safe than sorry!

How do I follow the campaign and what was raised?
Transparency is everything. We will update on social media and on the website how the fundraising is going and which products have already been secured. Keep an eye out because we love to share good news!

If I donate a quota, am I buying the product?
Not exactly. By donating a quota, you contribute the amount so that Beaba can buy the product directly from our suppliers. This way, we guarantee quality, standardization and care with the hygiene of everything.

Are the quotas updated every day?
Yes, they are! Every day we check what has already been guaranteed and update the items on the website. This way, you know exactly what is still missing.

Is there a minimum amount to donate?
There are quotas of various sizes, and every help counts! You can donate anything from a bar of soap to a complete set of bedding; you choose how you prefer to help. Now, if you prefer to donate a free amount, just make a pix to: pix@beaba.org and send the receipt to the email xxxx@beaba.org. We are so grateful!

What is sanitation?
It is the cleaning of materials. Since many children may have compromised immunity, we need to ensure that everything is clean, safe and ready for use. Even if some products come unopened, we sanitize them. After all, we cannot disappoint the CCIHs – Hospital Infection Control Committees.

I have a company that manufactures one of the products, can I donate?
Yes! Contact us at hello@beaba.org and we will arrange the donation and you will have your brand displayed on the Camping materials.

Have you spoken to the company?
We have spoken to many companies! Most people thought the project was beautiful and wished them good luck. But if you have a friend of a friend of a friend of a company director and want to try it, write and copy us. Maybe it works?

What do I get for helping?
A little brick in your little house in the sky? Nooooo! You’ll be entered into a raffle to win a ticket to live this adventure with us. Take care and don’t catch a cold or a virus. What if the universe conspires and you come camping with us?

Why don’t you guys ever appear on Globo?
We don’t know! We send the video to Altas Horas every year, but we think Serginho doesn’t like camping.
