Beaba Camping is an initiative by Beaba (be-a-bá) with Fundação Paiol Grande to take children and adolescents undergoing cancer treatment, and their companions, to learn about the disease and treatment outside its original context, enabling reinterpretation and education with lots of fun.

Beaba and Paiol Grande donate the entire concept, production, and infrastructure, but we need a few specific items to help participants get there and enjoy the experience. And you can help. Donate now!

Perguntas Frequentes

Why do you need these products?
The camp is a gift from the Paiol Grande Foundation: it includes a 3-night stay, 15 meals, accommodation, medical support, and so much more. However, participants need to bring their own bed linen, towels, and personal hygiene items. Since many children travel from afar to undergo cancer treatment in São Paulo, not everyone has these supplies—especially those staying in temporary support housing. That’s where you come in: with your help, we can ensure they have everything they need to enjoy the camp worry-free!

So what does Beaba do at the camp?
Beaba handles the entire operation: organizing transportation, adapting the venue, training counselors and volunteers, selecting the medical team, developing activities, producing materials, gamifying content, and encouraging self-care and autonomy. We do all this to inform and educate children, teenagers, and their support networks about cancer and treatment, empowering and engaging everyone to improve their quality of life.

Why do the quotas vary?
Because we need some products for all participants, others specifically for the children and teenagers, and some for the accompanying adults. Plus, there are items that are always good to have as backups—you never know when a bedwetting accident or an extra shower might happen. Better safe than sorry!

How do I follow the campaign, and what was raised?
Transparency is key. We’ll provide updates on social media and our website regarding fundraising progress and which products have already been secured. Keep an eye out; we love sharing good news!

If I donate a quota, am I buying the product?
Not exactly. By donating a tier, you contribute the funds for Beaba to purchase the product directly from our suppliers. This way, we ensure quality, standardization, and careful sanitization of everything.

Can the donated amount be used for a different item?
Yes! If the item you selected has already been covered by another person or company, Beaba may use your donation to purchase another item needed for Beaba Camping. Rest assured: everything will go toward ensuring that the children, teenagers, and their companions have what they need to enjoy this experience.

Are the quotas updated every day?
Yes, they are! Every day, we check what has already been secured and update the items on the website. That way, you know exactly what is still needed.

Is there a minimum amount to donate?
There are quotas of various sizes, and every bit of help counts! You can donate anything from a bar of soap to a complete bedding set—it’s up to you how you’d like to help. If you prefer to donate a custom amount, simply make a Pix transfer to pix@beaba.org and send the receipt to camping@beaba.org. We appreciate it so much!

What is sanitation?
It refers to cleaning the materials. Since many children may have compromised immune systems, we need to ensure everything is clean, safe, and ready for use. Even if some products arrive sealed, we sanitize them. After all, we can’t let down the Hospital Infection Control Committees (CCIHs).

I own a company that manufactures one of the products; can I donate?
Yes! Contact us at hello@beaba.org to arrange the donation. Your brand can also be featured in the camping materials.

Have you already spoken to “this company”?
We’ve spoken to many companies! Most thought the project was wonderful and wished us luck. But if you happen to know a friend of a friend of a friend of a company director and want to give it a shot, email us and copy us in. You never know—it might just work!
